Mexico is
one of the ten largest oil producers in the world, the third-largest in the
Western Hemisphere, and an important partner in the U.S. energy trade. The pie chart shows the breakdown of total energy consumption in Mexico
in 2010 by type, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. As we
can see in the graph the highest percentage, was in petroleum, which accounted
for 56% from the total. This was followed by natural gas, which attributed to
29%. While coal and non-hydro renewables made up for 5%. This was followed by
hydroelectric accounted for 4%. And lastly nuclear accounted for the remaining
1%.
"I Have a Dream
Too!"
I have a dream that one day this nation will not be
in the top ten largest oil producers in the world.
I have a dream that one day Mexico will not continue
to pollute its environment.
I have a dream that one day people will not use
their cars as much, and start using other ways to commute that do not pollute
as much.
I have a dream that Mexico will invest in projects
to find new sources of energy.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day we will not only depend on
the consumption of natural resources.
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day Mexico will not depend
on earnings from the oil industry.
This is my hope and faith. With this faith we will be
able to take better care of the environment.
This will be the day when everyone will be more
aware the damage being done to the environment.
And finally our beautiful nation will be known worldwide.
Thank you very much.
